ComplaintCA

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of ComplaintCA ("we", "the platform"). By using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Not legal advice

ComplaintCA and its AI-assisted drafting tools do not constitute legal advice, and using them does not create a lawyer-client relationship of any kind. Content produced by the platform is a starting point for you to review and correct — not a filed legal submission, and not a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer about your specific situation.

See our About page for how we verify the authorities, deadlines, and citations shown to you — but the final review of anything before you submit it is always yours.

The Lawyer & Civil Society Panel

Connections made through the Free Lawyer & Civil Society Panel are referrals only. ComplaintCA does not supervise, employ, or guarantee the work of any partner lawyer or organization listed there. Basic access to the panel is free for any licensed lawyer (a law faculty graduate in good standing). Partner Lawyer status — with priority placement — carries a fee; the amount is confidential and disclosed only to lawyers applying for that status. We never charge users for these connections. Lawyer identity is not independently verified by us beyond what's disclosed at sign-in — see our Privacy Policy for how legal-track complaint data is handled.

No guaranteed outcome

ComplaintCA helps you identify the correct authority and draft your complaint. We have no control over, and make no promise about, that authority's decision, timeline, or willingness to act.

Your responsibility

No warranty

ComplaintCA is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ComplaintCA and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including a missed deadline, a rejected complaint, or reliance on AI-drafted content that you did not review before submitting.
